沙弥 Samanera (三)

(Portraits of a novice monk I met in Thien Meng Pagoda, Hue, Vietnam) 我在顺化的几间寺院里, 遇见了很多出家的小和尚. 他们虽有进行剃度, 可是却不完全. 很多都只剃头部的一侧, 留着另一侧的头发, 或者剃省头顶前部一小撮头发. 可以说, 各有各的发型, 很是特别, 也很可爱. 我一直很想问他们是谁帮他们剃发的. 是他们的住持吗? 或特有剃头师傅? 可以自己选发型吗? 有很多疑问, 没有答案. 因为都没有会说中文或英文的. 也想问他们为何不需要剃光头发. 一向以来, 出家剃度是进入佛门的一项重要仪式. 头发代表着人间的烦恼, 剃掉了头发就代表除去了一切苦恼与牵挂. 他们都只是剃了一部分, 我想他们可能只是先来寺院学学, 看看到底适不适合继续成僧修行. 毕竟, 要学佛, 也要看有没有慧根与佛缘.

沙弥 Samanera (一)

(Novice Monk I met in Dieu De National Pagoda, Hue, Vietnam) 佛教徒有四众之分，就是出家男、女二众，在家男、女二众。出家二众为比丘、比丘尼，在家二众为優婆塞与優婆夷。出家二众，再加上沙弥、沙弥尼、式叉摩那称为出家五众。与在家二众合称，又被称为七众。沙弥 (Samanera) 是佛教中对年龄不足20岁，或其他初级出家男子的称呼，沙弥是梵语。相应的女性出家人称为沙弥尼。十戒 (Ten Precepts) 是佛教的戒規，为沙弥和沙弥尼所必须遵守的戒律。第一戒，不殺生 Refrain from killing living things 第二戒，不偷盜 Refrain from stealing 第三戒，不邪淫 Refrain from un-chastity (sensuality, sexuality, lust) 第四戒，不妄語 Refrain from lying 第五戒，不飲酒 Refrain from taking intoxicants 第六戒，不著華鬘好香塗身 Refrain from wearing perfume, cosmetics and garland (decorative accessories) [...]

The Tenggerese
