July 2, 2011 by kianhong

In my eyes you see Weakness but not despair My body has betrayed me It’s a pain no rain can wash away If only I could let it go   (Pushkar, Rajasthan State, India 2009)     Through my eyes you feel Hatred but not evil Time has betrayed me It’s an anger no wind can blow away [...]

Terracotta Army (I)

June 28, 2011 by kianhong

I’m always fascinated by ancient relics and artefacts. For me, they are the only tangible objects from the past and they hold much mystery than the boring history textbook. That’s the reason why I was so excited when I knew that some of the most notable archaeological treasures of China - the Terracotta Army have made their [...]

Don’t ask me why

May 17, 2011 by kianhong

You ask me why I say I want to fight and want to strive You ask me why I say this moment is better than forever lies You ask me why I say please don’t dream under the bright day light You ask me why I say bread and butter-won’t ever-fly You ask me why I say [...]

Guangzhou’s Street in Dual Hues

April 29, 2011 by kianhong

I was reading Asian Geographic Magazine (Issue 3/2011) a couple of weeks ago and was inspired by the way the photos were being presented — in Dual Hues. I’ve tried Black & White, Duotone and HDR on some of my photos before, but never really experiment my photos with Dual Hues. So, I thought I [...]

Guangzhou – Pearl River Cruise

March 29, 2011 by kianhong

I miss the coldness It seemed to make the clock ticked much slower than usual I miss the breeze that swept over me It came harsh but hardly unbearable Life ain’t easy Give yourself some time some moment To feel and to appreciate the simple things of life

Goodbye

March 21, 2011 by kianhong

I like the way James Blunt delivers his songs. It’s always emotional, intense, painful, despairing and almost suicidal. Some people avoid listening to this kind of song. They say it will make all the hurts keep hurting. Yes, they are right, but these feelings just make me feel alive.

Visiting my great uncle in Dongguan

March 8, 2011 by kianhong

(My great uncle. Still doing great at age 86)

Totally free-style!

February 24, 2011 by kianhong

I’m getting lazy recently. New posts are delayed and delayed I know. And words are getting lesser and forgettable. Sorry folks! Ever since I came back from Vietnam in July 2010, I have been working on my new blog-site and  Portfolio site. I started steadily in the beginning but realized that I was going way too slow. [...]
