Kathmandu – Pokhara, shooting from the bus

It was 1:00 pm local time. I should have reached Pokhara in another hour, if nothing unusual happens along the way. Let me say again – only if! But I was still a couple of hours behind the schedule, even the bus departed at 7:00 am this morning. I was stuck at the only road to Pokhara, on the hill, along with hundreds of other tourist buses, trucks and cars. I hate that feeling – being captive, incapable to roam freely, but it was not a reason good enough for not taking any photos. Body was trapped, but my eyes were not!

(the rioters allowed buses carrying only foreigners to pass through this bridge. Local passengers have no choice but to get off the buses and walked on foot. The road block was caused by rioters protesting against the attack of a politician by a group of inmates inside Bharatpur jail. The politician died 2 weeks later.)
